Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Perform computed tomography procedures and related diagnostic techniques
• Administer x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• May be required to alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call
• Flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care
• Perform diagnostic CT procedures and may also perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable radiographic exams
• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedures and ensure proper documentation
• Prepare patients for procedures, providing instructions and minimizing anxiety
• Select and operate imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories
• Position patients to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest while respecting comfort
• Practice aseptic technique and prepare/administer contrast media as appropriate
• Start and maintain intravenous access when required
• Initiate basic life support action when necessary
• Provide patient education and practical instruction for students and partners
• Maintain inventory and supplies for assigned area
• Graduate of accredited radiography program required
• 2 years of CT experience required
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration required
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required
