RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Peds Adult

Job Details:

• Work full-time position with 36 hours per week in 12-hour shifts
• May need to work overtime as needs arise
• Provide direct patient care to a group of patients on medical-surgical unit
• Perform ongoing systematic assessment and data collection
• Formulate goal-directed plans of care based on patient priorities and available resources
• Function efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols
• Supervise LPN's and Nurse Aides assigned to Medical/Surgical Unit
• Work in stressful environment requiring frequent crisis intervention and creative problem solving
• Constant walking and standing with frequent reaching, twisting, squatting, and lifting
• Frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases
• Graduate from accredited nursing school with current Colorado license required
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support training documentation required
• ACLS certification required or must obtain within one year of employment
• Previous medical/surgical experience required, with one year preferred for graduate nurses
• Must demonstrate astute assessment skills, IV skills, and independent decision-making abilities
