RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required (strictly enforced)
• Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program with current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services
• Act as patient advocate for all patient populations
• Meet surgical standards of nursing practice
• Maintain skills in setting priorities, organizing workload effectively, and managing changes in assignment
• Integrate multiple assignments with multilevel personnel
• Maintain thorough knowledge of sterile technique
• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations
• Conduct reassessments as per policy
• Adequately assess and reassess pain using appropriate pain management techniques
• Participate and implement age-specific care and interaction
• Collaborate with healthcare team including RN, LPN, NA, physicians, and ancillary disciplines
• Develop and implement total nursing care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with team members
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in clinical setting
• Strong communication skills required
• Must be attentive to details and demonstrate commitment to team concept
