RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Full-time night position in emergency department
• Coordinate and implement individualized patient care plans using nursing process
• Practice within scope, standards, policies, values, and mission of the organization
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes
• Requires prioritization and critical thinking skills with decisive judgment
• Work with minimal supervision in fast-paced environment
• Comply with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines
• Use evidence-based practices to collaborate with healthcare team
• Coordinate patient care including transfer, discharge, referral, and support needs
• Identify barriers to effective communication based on various considerations
• Evaluate learning needs and provide patient/family education
• Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel
• May precept student nurses and new hires
• Practice according to ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act
• Current Colorado RN license or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required (or obtain within 90 days)
• Current ACLS certification required (or obtain within 6 months)
• Current PALS or ENPC certification required (or obtain within 1 year)
• Current TNCC certification required (or obtain within 1 year)
• Current STABLE certification required (or obtain within 1 year)
• Current NRP certification required (or obtain within 1 year)
• Two years hospital nursing experience preferred
• One year emergency department or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Adhere to organizational attire and dress code policies
