RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Provide patient care based on established standards of care, protocols, and policies
• Deliver individualized patient care that fosters dignity and positive self-regard
• Provide patient and family teaching based on identified learning needs and readiness to learn
• Collaboratively plan and prepare patients and families for discharge
• Appropriately delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others
• Prioritize patient care and seek assistance from appropriate resources as needed
• Provide thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of all pertinent data and interventions
• Safely administer medications and intravenous therapy according to physician orders
• Assess patient pain levels using numerical pain scale and reassess effectiveness of pain control
• Interpret and document patient cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration
• Institute appropriate measures in life-threatening situations
• Participate actively in daily multi-disciplinary rounds for patient care planning
• Recognize normal and abnormal laboratory and diagnostic results
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment including traction devices, feeding pumps, and chest tubes
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• MOAB class required within 60 days of hire
• 1 year med-surge experience preferred
• Previous telemetry experience preferred
• Current Massachusetts RN License required
• ACLS upon hire OR active BLS card with AHA ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
