Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Interpret physician scanning instructions and administer contrast materials
• Prepare and operate CT scan equipment and position patients to capture appropriate images
• Ensure all CT scan images are of optimum diagnostic quality for accurate radiologist interpretation
• Follow pre-determined image criteria to assess images and ensure all required measurements, volumes and anatomical information are included
• Operate all diagnostic CT scan processing and printing equipment to create quality final images
• Select correct computer and technical factors for CT scan equipment operation
• Assess patients to ensure optimum exposure techniques with special precautions for women of childbearing age
• Review physician orders for accuracy prior to examination start
• Complete patient orders and charges, schedule exams, and maintain accurate patient records
• Coordinate daily work schedule and patient flow to ensure timely exam completion
• Maintain safe environment and follow proper safety procedures due to radiation exposure
• Graduate from accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year CT experience required, previous CT scan procedure experience preferred
• Experience on Toshiba CT Scanners preferred
• MA DPH Radiology License required
• ARRT (R) required, ARRT (CT) preferred and required within two years of hire
• Physical demands include lifting 20-50 pounds occasionally, frequent reaching and handling
