RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 13-week night shift assignment
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards
• Assess patients presenting for emergency care and triage based on history, physical assessment and chief complaint
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill and/or critically ill patients
• Administer therapeutic measures including medication administration, intravenous fluids, blood transfusions, and treatments
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care services
• Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physician
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and efficiently in appropriate formats
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Nebraska or multi-state licensure in compact state required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum 2 years professional nursing experience required, preferably with 1 year in Emergency Room setting
• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs and transfer patients involving heavy lifting
• Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods
• Fine motor skills and manual dexterity required
• Must possess ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Works with minimal to no supervision
