RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• Schedule of 3 days per week with 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Provide observation and/or inpatient care to patients assigned to the Med Surg Unit
• Current Colorado RN license in good standing required
• Current AHA BLS certification for healthcare providers required
• Current ACLS certification required, or ability to complete at next available course within 3 months
• Current PALS certification required, or ability to complete at next available course within 3 months
• Cerner EHR experience required
• Minimum of two years Med Surg experience strongly desired
• BSN desired but not required
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, nursing interventions, and evaluation
• Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormal findings
• Operate infusion pumps and document accurately in electronic health record
• Complete required Cerner documentation in accordance with competencies and procedures
• Provide patient and family education on disease process, treatment plans, and discharge planning
• Follow infection prevention practices and National Patient Safety Goals
• Collaborate with providers, staff, and other departments for interdisciplinary patient care
