Job Details:

• Perform breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and assist with breast ultrasound biopsy
• Follow MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging procedures
• Demonstrate knowledge of breast anatomy, pathological conditions and safe administration of radiation
• Review patient requisitions for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis
• Conduct and document quality control ensuring equipment is within safe limits per MQSA and ACR guidelines
• Communicate and educate patients before, during, and after breast imaging procedures
• Review breast imaging examinations for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to radiologist
• Schedule breast imaging appointments and coordinate exams to ensure quality and continuity of patient care
• Assist with department workflow management and ensure proper patient charges
• Organize, monitor, and order medical supply inventory
• Participate in orientation of new employees and healthcare professionals
• Maintain 24 CEU credits according to A.R.R.T. guidelines every two years
• Required certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Mammography (M), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Must maintain current CPR certification and be HIPAA compliant
• 1 year of experience preferred, healthcare experience preferred
• Must obtain computer skills within 90 days for online learning requirements
• Working knowledge of English language required for reading, writing, and speaking
• Provide care for patients aged 13+ years including adolescents, adults, middle-aged, and geriatric populations
