RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Serve as Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department with supervisory responsibilities over licensed practical nurses, certified nurses aides, and ward clerks
• Assess patients within 5 minutes of admission based on presenting problems and medical diagnosis
• Implement T-System documentation and complete ongoing assessments based on patient condition
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions as ordered by providers consistent with emergency care standards
• Manage care of patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes in a sometimes chaotic work environment
• Interact with patients and families from diverse developmental and sociocultural backgrounds
• Maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
• Complete required documentation in accurate and timely manner
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities
• Provide patient and family education based on assessed learning needs
• Demonstrate cost effectiveness in supply usage and equipment management
• Current Colorado Registered Nurse License required
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required within six months of hire
• One year of RN experience highly preferred
• Must possess strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new software systems
• Requires regular attendance, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
