Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week assignment with 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Weekend requirement: may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Work on hospitalist unit/general medicine PCU with current 1:5 patient ratios (goal is 1:4)
• Float as needed to other PCU units and potentially Med Surg
• Care for patients on hospitalist service with pulmonary and other medicine related illnesses
• Work with adult and geriatric patients on 20-bed telemetry unit
• Manage chest tubes, IV drips (Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro), trach care, and PICC lines
• Operate oxygen equipment including CPAP and BiPAP
• Handle unit capable of taking 2 ventilated patients (chronic trach patients, not ICU level)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• Must work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays during winter season)

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
