Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hour weekly guarantee
• Patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics
• 1:6 patient ratio on a 38-bed unit with average daily census of 33
• Medical surgical unit with remote telemetry and potential medical surgical diagnoses
• Must have minimum 1 year experience; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system required, plus Pyxis and SBAR knowledge
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Floating to other similar units required
• No call requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Holiday work requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment period
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Skills include blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tubes, colostomy care, CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tube management, heparin, insulin, isolation precautions, telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, and use of rapid response teams
• Full compliance required to start on time with 2-week pushback if not compliant
• GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Two supervisory references highly preferred at submission
