Description
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• 2 years of experience required in service line
• 3 years of experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Must live 150 miles from facility
• May be asked to float to other campus or another floor - flexibility required
• Self-scheduling type
• 5 weekend days required during a 6 week schedule
• Float required to Mother Baby or North Campus
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
• Care for neonates and patients > 34 weeks
• NICU II level care
• Skills include administration of blood products, antibiotics/antivirals, APGAR scoring, assist with lumbar punctures, attend high risk deliveries
• Proficiency required in bubble CPAP, developmental care, high flow nasal cannula, high frequency ventilation
• Experience with neonatal abstinence syndrome, respiratory distress syndrome, and thermoregulation
• Must be competent in starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, and patient/family teaching
• Work with specialized equipment including UAC and UVC catheters
• Altera charting experience preferred but not required
• Travel experience preferred
• Must complete mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
