Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required (1st timers accepted)
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts
• Work every other weekend
• Floating required
• No call requirements
• Holiday work required based on assignment period (work 1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• 12 orientation hours required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Care for patients from neonates to geriatrics
• Work in 59-room emergency department with average 250 visits per day
• Use Epic charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Skills include triage, ventilated patient care, IV sedation, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation
• Work in Level 3 trauma center (in process) with primary stroke, CHF, STEMI, and chest pain center designations
• Full compliance required to start on time with bi-weekly orientation schedule

This healthcare facility operates a busy 59-bed emergency department that serves as a Level 3 trauma center (in process) with specialized designations including primary stroke center, heart failure, STEMI, and chest pain center. The facility maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The emergency department handles approximately 250 patient visits daily and is equipped with advanced technology including arctic sun cooling systems and glucommander equipment.
