Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in medical surgical telemetry unit with 4:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required every other weekend
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• Float within scope as needed
• Care for patients across all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 44 patients in a 54-bed unit
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• BSN degree preferred
• VA nursing license or compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Natural nail policy must be followed
• Must complete assigned modules during orientation on VCU Learning Exchange
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, medication administration, wound care, IV management, and various medical surgical procedures
• Access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
