Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PACU
Job Details:
• Work 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Friday with rotating start times between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Rotate primarily between PACU and pre/post interventional radiology area within PACU unit
• 24 hours of call per 6 week schedule period as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Float within service line to meet facility needs
• 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• No weekend requirements but may be available as staffing changes
• Must pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ventilator management, IV start, telemetry
• PACU and critical care experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must have proficiency managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
• Care for surgical patients from various specialties including GU, GYN, colorectal, minimally invasive procedures, bariatric, and ENT
• Manage complex patients in preop who may require intensive monitoring
• Work with patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Navy scrubs required
• No more than 7 days RTO restrictions per 13-week contract
• Must reside at least 75 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• 40 hours of orientation provided

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
