Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PACU
Job Details:
• Work 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday with rotating start times as needed
• No weekends, no call, and no holidays required
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with critical care experience mandatory
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCRN and TNCC preferred
• Must have experience with Phase I PACU, dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting IVs, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience required with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
• Must be comfortable caring for adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients
• Will float only to PACU or PreOp units as needed
• Navy blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• Night shift personnel must learn preoperative patient preparation
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract

This major healthcare facility operates as a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center with 1,273 total staffed beds. The PACU operates 24/7 with 38 patient bays and maintains an average daily census of 70-90 patients. This high-acuity recovery unit serves patients from diverse surgical specialties including neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant services. The facility features comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
