Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling flexibility
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with 5-6 weekend shifts per contract period
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Must wear navy scrubs
• Work with Epic charting system
• Float to other departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Handle average daily census of 16-18 patients with 16 visits per day
• Work in 7-room/7-bed emergency department
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of recent specialty experience required with 1 full year in specialty within past 12 months
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Must hold both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license
• Local candidates within 75-mile radius not accepted
• Complete 3 hours of pre-start EMR modules and Epic training
• Complete infusion pump and glucometer training by Sunday prior to start date
