Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• 2 years of nursing experience required with minimum 1 year of Neuro ICU experience
• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend requirement (EOW)
• 4 weekend shifts per month (Saturday/Sunday X2)
• May float to ED, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: CA RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIH, TNCC preferred
• All certifications must be AHA and in hand at time of submittal
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Care for adults and geriatrics with daily census of 18-22 patients
• Manage patients requiring detailed neuro checks including post thrombectomy and TNK patients
• Work with post procedural/surgical trauma patients
• Experience with specialized equipment including EVD management, ICP monitoring, and massive blood transfusion protocols
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I preferred
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed

This healthcare facility features a 24-bed ICU split between two wings that specializes in Level II Trauma ICU and Neuro/Stroke ICU services. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The ICU team operates in a fast-paced environment with quick patient turnover and excellent team collaboration, focusing on post-surgical trauma patients and complex neurological cases requiring intensive monitoring and care.
