Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with 3x12 schedule (4x12 available upon request)
• 13-52 week assignments available upon request
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract (unable to approve Christmas time off)
• Patient ratios typically 1:5 (goal is 1:4)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Floating required within skillset
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Work in hybrid unit with 10 PCU beds and 2 ICU beds serving vent/trach dependent patients
• Care for patients with DKA, COPD, sepsis, suicide/overdose, chronic respiratory failure, and renal failure
• Perform cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Provide IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Administer medications including cardiac drips (no titration)
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and trach care
• Handle ventilator care for chronic trach and vent patients
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code team activation
• Maintain isolation precautions and telemetry settings
• May work without CNA support
• First-time travelers accepted
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred

The facility maintains high standards for patient care and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
