Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with 1:2 patient ratio
• Contract options: 13 or 26 weeks with 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Will float within service line to other ICU units
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Navy scrubs required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including respiratory failure/ARDS, acute chest pain/cardiac arrhythmias, stroke, cardiac arrest, DKA, multi-organ failure, and sepsis
• Handle pre and post-operative cardiac, thoracic, and abdominal surgeries
• Manage medicine and neuro-medicine overflow patients
• Provide care for pre and post-transplant patients and end-of-life/organ donation cases
• Work with specialized equipment including IV pumps/titration, CRRT/dialysis, ventilators/BIPAP, hemodynamic/invasive monitoring, and defibrillators/crash carts
• Skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• No RTO allowed during first week of assignment
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks

This is a 1,259-bed short-term acute care facility that holds Magnet designation and serves as both a teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center. The facility features a newly established 21-bed ICU unit and utilizes Epic charting system throughout. The organization provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
