Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units may be required
• Required certifications: Current BLS and ACLS must be held at time of submission
• Current Missouri license or Compact license required
• Care for patients aged adolescents through geriatrics
• Manage 29-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients
• Handle common diagnoses including diabetes, COPD, general surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, pneumonia, and asthma
• Provide telemetry monitoring for 14 beds (no cardiac drips administered on unit)
• Skills required include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, heparin and insulin administration, IV management, and telemetry monitoring
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• References and copy of certifications required at time of submission
• First-time travelers and local candidates accepted
