Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Every other weekend requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• No on-call requirements
• Float within service line when needed
• Navy blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• Care for patients waiting to be admitted into hospital units, starting care in Emergency Department until bed becomes available
• Skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care and management, pre/post hemodialysis management, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs, heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips
• Work with nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and isolation precautions
• Must be comfortable with ortho trauma, traction, PCA, thrombolytic agents, and substance withdrawal
• Up to 2 time-off requests allowed, maximum 40 hours (5 days) total during contract
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• 36-hour orientation provided
