Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Patient ratios of 1:2-3, with float to step down at 1:3-4 ratios when needed
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Must float within scope to meet facility needs
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Virginia or compact state nursing license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CSC
• CRRT experience mandatory, plus at least one additional specialized skill (IABP, Impella, or EVD drains preferred)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for trauma patients, cardiovascular surgery patients, neurosurgery patients, and other complex surgical patients
• Manage patients with acute ventilator needs, severe sepsis, trauma cases, open heart recovery, and multi-system organ failure
• Skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, CRRT, and cardiac drip titration
• Must complete up to 8 hours of modules within 1 week of starting
• Travel pairs not allowed on this unit
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at same rate

The 38-bed ICU features both medical and surgical sides, offering specialized equipment including Swan catheters, balloon pumps, CRRT machines, and advanced monitoring systems.
