Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Must start on 12/15
• 2 years of experience required in service line
• Patient ratio experience with 5-6 patients required
• Travel experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Charting system experience required (Altera experience preferred but not required)
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 38-bed unit with daily census of 35 patients
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, CVA care, external CPAP/BIPAP, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, post-cardiac procedures, hemodialysis management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and wound vac management
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Hard document due date: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start
• Non-billable modules average 6-8 hours completed during orientation
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
