Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with every other weekend requirement
• No call responsibilities
• Required to float to other units as needed
• Patient ratio of 7:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours non-billable
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• AHA BLS certification required
• Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Additional certifications required: ACLS
• Must live 100 miles from facility
• Required skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin and insulin administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, IV management, and PICC line care
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education responsibilities
• Care for adolescent patient population with daily census of 28 patients
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for CDC fit testing guidelines
• Complete 4-5 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
