Opportunity:

RN - PreOp

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with varied start times (may start as early as 5:00 AM)
• Two positions available
• Patient ratio of 2:1 during days and weekends
• Care for patients across all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• 2 years of experience in service line required
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Must have current license in hand at time of submittal
• Charting system experience required (Altera experience preferred but not required)
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments and patient education
• Manage various surgical preparations including cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery cases
• Skills include IV management, medication administration, wound care, and post-operative monitoring
• Must complete facility drug screen upon arrival (includes marijuana testing)
• Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable orientation modules
• One pre-approved time off request allowed per contract
• Must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
