Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 4x12 hour shifts available by request
• 13-52 week assignments available by request
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:6 (may flex up to 1:7)
• 24 hours of orientation required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• BLS certification required
• Previous charge and precept experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Must be proficient in Med/Surg care with experience using Rapid Response/Code teams
• Skilled in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and isolation precautions
• Will be required to float within skillset
• Patient population includes scheduled ortho surgeries, spine procedures, fracture repairs, bone infections, and various other surgical procedures
• Work with equipment including bladder scanners, hemovacs, external fixators, and IV pumps
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

This is a private, not-for-profit, general acute care teaching hospital with 703 licensed beds. The facility serves as the region's only Level I Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients and is a certified stroke center.
