Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 3x12 schedule with every other weekend coverage required
• 1:6 patient ratio during night shifts
• Float to other units based on need and skill set
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience required - no first time travelers
• Must have at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Previous charge experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active Tennessee RN license required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis needs, acute kidney failure, post heart catheterization, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis
• Perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Work with Omnicell medication system
• Unit focuses on stroke and TIA patients along with higher acuity med-surg patients
• Strong emphasis on patient experience
• Complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of contract signing (up to 16 billable hours)

This healthcare facility operates a specialized 30-bed medical surgical telemetry unit that serves as the primary inpatient unit for stroke and TIA patients while also caring for higher acuity medical-surgical cases. The facility maintains a strong focus on patient experience and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The organization utilizes modern technology including EPIC EMR and Omnicell medication systems to support quality patient care.
