Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 1+ years of recent Med Surg/Tele experience required
• Active Tennessee RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with general medical conditions, pre and post operative patients
• Handle post heart catheterization patients and bedside procedures including dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision & drainage
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units required based on skill set and census needs
• Unit has 30 beds with daily census of 30 patients
• Work with interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Skills include isolation precautions, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required within 48 hours of receiving login information
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Up to 16 hours of billable module completion time
