Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Must start 1/5/2026
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
• One pre-approved time off allowed
• Must be available to complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Hard document due date: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start
• Non-billable modules averaging 6-8 hours completed during orientation
• Care for patients aged adolescents through geriatrics
• Daily census of 35 patients across 38 beds
• Charting system experience required (Altera experience preferred but not required)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, CVA care, CPAP/BIPAP, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, mastectomy care, ortho trauma, PCA, PICC line management, post cardiac procedures, pre/post hemodialysis management, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and total joint replacement care
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Must maintain distance of 150+ miles from facility to qualify as traveler
