Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• 2 years of experience preferred with all surgeries except cardiac procedures
• Experience with pediatrics required and critical care strongly preferred
• Must assist with coverage in Pre-Op holding area
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
• Call required as part of assignment
• Minimum of 1 weekend shift per contract required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
• Must have experience recovering patients from Plastics, Urology, Dental, and GYN procedures
• Experience required with monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and arterial lines
• Care for all age groups from 8 months old to 100+ years old
• Daily census of approximately 30 patients with 21 beds available
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Must orient to Pre-Op holding as nurses float between PACU and Pre-Op when needed
• On-site drug screen required with comprehensive panel testing
• All documentation due 3 business days prior to start date
• Expect to work some holidays
