Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 4x12 hour shifts available by request
• Up to 52 weeks available by request
• Weekend requirement: Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract (no Christmas time off)
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience required
• 48-hour orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with neurological conditions including neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, and neuro-specific diagnoses
• Includes 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
• Required skills include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, medication administration, cardiac drips (no titration), and respiratory support
• Floating required to units within clinical skillset
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Self-scheduling system
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed

This is a 703-bed acute care teaching hospital serving as the flagship facility of a major healthcare system. The hospital is the region's only Level I Trauma Center and holds Magnet designation for nursing excellence. It is affiliated with a medical school and features advanced specialty care including a dedicated children's hospital. The facility is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, providing comprehensive stroke care with 24/7 neurointerventional coverage and advanced endovascular procedures.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
