Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Acute inpatient rehabilitation setting focused on medical surgical patients
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Acute inpatient rehab experience required
• First time travelers accepted (travel experience preferred)
• Charge experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Float required within Med Surg units as needed
• Weekend coverage required - 4-5 shifts per contract
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with CVA, neuro, orthopedic, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and other rehabilitation diagnoses
• Manage patients attending 3 hours of therapy daily (8 AM-3 PM) requiring excellent time management skills
• Physical demands include assisting high fall risk patients with mobility, transfers, and daily activities
• Skills include heparin drips, CAPD, tracheostomy care, G-tube management, wound vac, and various rehabilitation nursing procedures
• Work with ceiling lifts available in all patient rooms
• Census fluctuates and may require reassignment to other Med Surg units as needed
