Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (4x12s available upon request)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 (goal ratio is 4:1, mostly 5:1)
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• May be required to float within skillset to other PCUs and potentially medical-surgical units
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Tele, PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown settings required
• Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care
• Experience with respiratory equipment including nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP, and non-invasive airway management
• Competency required in chest tubes, trach care, PICC line management, and cardiac drip administration (no titration)
• 32-hour orientation provided
• May work without CNA support at times
• All time-off requests must be included with submission (no Christmas time off)
• First-time travelers and locals accepted with radius restrictions
