Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a mixed acuity unit handling PCU/ICU level patients with ratios 1:2-4
• Available shifts: 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour options
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, or 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend requirement with 6 weekend shifts per contract
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH preferred
• Minimum 18 months of experience required
• Must have Indiana state license in hand prior to start
• Dress code: black bottoms and red top
• Free parking provided
• Care for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine, and oncology patients
• Manage post-cardiac surgery patients including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS procedures
• Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
• Experience with ventilated patients and ventilator management preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Use Cerner charting system
• Work in all private rooms with overhead lifts and telemetry equipment

This 210-bed short-term acute care hospital provides comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic surgery services with a specialized mixed acuity unit. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment and all private patient rooms with overhead lifts for enhanced patient and staff safety. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
