Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Night shift position
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required with no exceptions
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Weekend coverage required
• One pre-approved time off allowed
• Float within scope if needed
• BSN preferred
• Natural nail policy must be followed
• VA or compact state nursing license must be in hand at time of submittal
• 2 references required
• Self-scheduling system
• Must complete required modules during orientation week on VCU Learning Exchange
• Modules average 6 hours and must be completed by Friday of orientation week
• Care for neonates from edge of viability to those preparing for discharge
• Work with premature and seriously ill infants requiring surgical and medical intervention
• Extensive skills required including ventilator management, central line care, high frequency ventilation, and various neonatal procedures

This healthcare facility features a state-of-the-art 40-bed Level IV NICU that serves as the largest single-family room NICU in Central Virginia. The unit specializes in caring for premature and critically ill newborns requiring complex medical and surgical interventions. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and various other specialized services to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
