Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with weekend coverage required
• Days: 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday shifts per scheduling period
• Nights: 6 Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shifts per period
• No call responsibilities
• Floating required to medical surgical units
• PCU patient ratio 1:5, Med Surg ratio 1:7 when floated
• 24 hours of orientation (16 hours non-billable)
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS
• Must maintain permanent residence 100+ miles from hospital service area
• Care for adult patients with daily census of 33
• Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team utilization, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management (no titration), airway management, telemetry monitoring
• Special procedures include dialysis and peritoneal dialysis
• Active participation in nursing student support and clinical education required
• Drug testing must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for CDC fit testing guidelines
• Complete 4-5 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
