Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Maintain 1:5 patient ratio typically
• Weekend requirement: may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Ventilator experience required for chronic trach and vent patients
• Float within skillset as required
• Provide care for patients with DKA, COPD, sepsis, suicide/overdose, chronic respiratory failure, and renal failure
• Perform cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Administer IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood products, and manage central/peripheral line care
• Handle medication administration including cardiac drips (no titration)
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Manage ventilator care for chronic trach and vent patients
• Activate Rapid Response and Code teams when needed
• Maintain isolation precautions and telemetry settings
• Work in hybrid unit with 10 PCU beds and 2 ICU beds
• May work without CNA support
• 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
