Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend requirement: every other Saturday/Sunday and holidays as needed
• Float occasionally to other units as needed
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• One pre-approved holiday time off allowed
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience and travel experience required
• California RN licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, Epic experience
• Certifications required within specified timeframes: PALS (within 180 days), TNCC (within 180 days), NIHSS (within 90 days)
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 50-mile travel requirement (locals accepted at local rate)
• Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of patient care
• Deliver holistic and individualized care to adult patients in acute care setting
• Develop and implement care plans incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Maintain collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers
• Work with complex ICU equipment and procedures including ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, and cardiac monitoring
• Care for patients with conditions such as post-surgical recovery, trauma, stroke, and multi-system organ dysfunction

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a 44-bed intensive care unit providing comprehensive critical care services to adult patients. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 40 patients and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized equipment. The organization emphasizes evidence-based practice and maintains high standards for patient care delivery in an acute care environment.
