Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Medical surgical/telemetry floor position
• 1 year experience required, accepts first-time travelers
• Self-scheduling available
• Weekend coverage required
• 24 hours orientation provided
• Patient ratios of 4-6 patients
• Care for adults and geriatrics with daily census of 15-18 patients
• 24 bed unit with 24 rooms
• Float within scope if needed
• No more than 4 days of requested time off per 6 weeks
• Must make up time off at end of contract
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, telemetry, NIHSS
• Epic charting experience required
• BSN preferred
• Natural nail policy enforced
• Skills include chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, isolation precautions, peripheral line care, IV management
• Special procedures include chest tube insertions, paracentesis, thoracentesis
• Patient diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, CHF, diabetes, stroke, sepsis, surgical cases
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology
• 6 hours of non-billable modules required during orientation week
