Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work with a 1:6 patient ratio across all shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• 36-hour orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS
• Required skills: Telemetry monitoring, IV start and maintenance, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• 1.5 years of experience minimum
• First-time travelers accepted
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 39-bed unit with daily census of 38
• Treat majority medical patients including COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, chest pain, and small bowel obstruction
• Handle small surgical caseload of 1-3 post-surgical cases per day including gastric procedures, colectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy
• Floating required to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
