Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend (EOW)
• Patient ratios: 5:1 during days, 6:1 during nights, 5:1 on weekends
• Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays with no time off between Christmas and New Year's
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) per contract
• Float to all medical/surgical floors and potentially rehabilitation unit
• 8 hours of orientation required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedic conditions, end of life care, COPD, and sepsis
• Unit census ranges from 25-30 patients with 35 beds and 37 rooms
• May care for stable open heart surgery patients transferred from ICU (typically day 4-5 post-op)
• Work with special equipment including Artisight virtual nurses and virtual sitters
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must complete 5-6 hours of pre-start modules
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• No call requirements
• Manager interview required after clinical screening

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
