Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Standard schedule is 3x12 shifts per week with 4x12 option available upon request
• Contract length up to 52 weeks available upon request
• Weekend requirement: either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 (must be comfortable with 1:5 ratio)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Charge experience preferred
• Care for adult patients with neurological conditions including neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, and neuro-specific diagnoses
• Unit includes 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
• Clinical skills include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care, medication administration, cardiac drips (no titration), and respiratory support
• Floating required to units within clinical skillset
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• Accept first-time travelers
• Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required

The hospital is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and affiliated with a medical school. It features advanced specialty care, a dedicated children's hospital, and is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center providing comprehensive stroke care with 24/7 neurointerventional coverage and advanced endovascular procedures. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
