Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• MICU (Medical ICU) position with 1:2 patient ratios
• 1.5 years ICU experience required, preferably MICU experience
• Must have experience in a 20+ bed ICU
• Level I trauma experience required if less than 2 years experience
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float within service line to MS areas within ICU service line
• No on-call requirements
• Guaranteed hours provided
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Navy blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS
• Must pass Relias EKG exam for interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must be competent in caring for patients on CRRT via NxStage
• Skills required: pressor support, ETT, trachs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound care
• Sterile technique procedures: line insertion, paracentesis, bedside trach placement, chest tubes, bronchoscopy, phlebotomy
• Preferred skills: Swan-Ganz, inhaled and IV Flolan, CVVHD, proning, MTP Level 1 Rapid Transfuser
• Care for adult patients with medical ICU diagnoses
• Daily census of 41 patients in 42-bed unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
