Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience required
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units may be required
• Care for patients across age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 29-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients
• Current Missouri or Compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: Current BLS and ACLS (must have at time of submission)
• Skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, heparin and insulin administration, IV management, and telemetry monitoring
• Work with patient diagnoses including diabetes, COPD, general surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, pneumonia, and general medical/surgical conditions
• 14-bed telemetry section for patients with history of A-fib and syncope episodes
• Interdisciplinary support available including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology
• References and certification copies required at time of submission
• Return staff must be gone 1 year before returning
