MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4 x 10 hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM (Friday through Monday)
• 40 hours of orientation required
• Must have 2 years of experience in MRI service line
• Required certifications: ARRT, ARRT (MR) preferred, Texas Medical Board - MRT, BCLS
• Texas state license required in hand with submittal
• Experience with Allscripts charting system required, Altera experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Must be able to work with all patient age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform various MRI procedures including breast, cardiac, arthrograms, anesthesia, and pacemaker studies
• Work with specialized equipment including MRI anesthesia cart and MRI compatible IV pumps
• Must complete lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (average 6-8 hours)
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Must avoid local radius restrictions (Allied positions within 50 miles not accepted)

The facility maintains a daily census of 34 patients and offers specialized MRI procedures including cardiac, breast, and anesthesia studies. The organization features extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
