Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 14-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit
• Rotating shifts - several weeks on one schedule then switch
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Patient assignments include 1-2 patients with diagnoses including CABGs, valve repair/replacements, aortic surgeries, VADs, total artificial hearts, and heart/liver/kidney transplants
• Handle thoracic cases, esophagectomy and vascular surgeries
• Perform invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive IV medications
• Provide post-operative recovery care and oversight for circulatory assist devices
• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, ECMO, Impella, IABP, Heartmate, and Heartware devices
• Must have CSICU/CVICU experience at Level 1 trauma facility
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• EPIC charting experience required - no exceptions
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills: CRRT, IABP, post-op cardio-thoracic surgery recovery, ECMO
• BSN preferred
• Virginia or compact state license required
• Natural nail policy enforced
• 36-hour orientation with required modules to be completed during orientation week
• Float within scope if needed
