Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 14-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU)
• Care for 1-2 patients with diagnoses including CABGs, valve repair/replacements, aortic surgeries, VADs, total artificial hearts, and heart/liver/kidney transplants
• Handle thoracic cases, esophagectomy, and vascular surgeries
• Perform invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive IV medications
• Provide post-operative recovery care and manage CRRT, ECMO, Impella, IABP, Heartmate, and Heartware
• Oversee circulatory assist devices including Heartmate II and III LVAD, CentriMag RVAD/LVAD, Heartware HVAD
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Self-scheduling with floating within scope as needed
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Must have minimum 2 years experience and CSICU/CVICU experience at Level 1 facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills: Conscious Sedation, Pulmonary Artery Lines, Telemetry, Vents, CRRT, IABP, ECMO
• Epic charting experience required with no exceptions
• Level I trauma and academic facility experience required
• BSN preferred
• Natural nail policy must be followed
• Completion of facility-specific modules during orientation week required

The organization maintains Level I trauma designation and utilizes state-of-the-art equipment including Endotool and NXSTAGE CRRT systems to support complex cardiac procedures and post-operative care.
