Description
Opportunity:
RN - IMC
Job Details:
• Float position requiring willingness to work across multiple units including IMC, Tele 1 (cardiac), Tele 2 (non-cardiac), and Med/Surg
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• No call responsibilities
• Must have active Virginia or Compact license in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Cardiac Telemetry
• NIH certification preferred
• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Management of dysrhythmias required
• Telemetry monitoring on unit required
• Use of rapid response teams required
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization experience required
• Central line and PICC line management required
• Heparin protocols experience required
• Must manage and titrate cardiac drips
• Starting IVs preferred
• Traumatic brain injury experience preferred
• Peripheral nerve block catheter experience preferred
• Surgical drains experience preferred
• Isolation precautions knowledge required
• Wound care and wound VAC experience preferred
• Must attend EPIC training (accelerated or 2-day class)
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable modules required during orientation
• Smoke/nicotine free facility
Facility:
This healthcare facility features an intermediate care unit specializing in the care of pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma patients. The unit serves patients requiring advanced airway management, including those with tracheostomies and ventilators, high flow oxygen, or BiPAP support. The patient population includes those on cardiac drips, with chest tubes and Zephyr valves, covering conditions from acute and chronic pulmonary disorders to various cardiac conditions including CHF, MI, unstable angina, and dysrhythmias. The unit also accommodates medical/surgical overflow patients and maintains comprehensive specialty support services.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
